Simone Pérèle: From Mother to Daughter...
From one generation to the next, the Pérèle
women have a natural understanding of a
woman's body and its movements. The legend
begins in a warmly-lit workshop in 1948, rue de
Montyon in Paris. Madame Simone Pérèle,
daughter of an expert corset-maker, envisioned
modern women as they are today: active,
confident, and independent. Madame Pérèle
followed her instincts as she sought to create
high-quality handcrafted lingerie that combined
design with comfort.
Upon the opening of her small workshop and
boutique, Madame Pérèle used her expertise in
corsetry to create new designs that freed
women's bodies from constrictive corsets. She
continued to revolutionize the lingerie concept
in 1970 by designing the first "second skin"
lingerie made of high quality Lycra. Madame
Pérèle's designs were handcrafted for perfect
comfort that moved with, not against, women's
curves and contours.
Revolutionary for her time, Simone Pérèle
created a line of lingerie for the active,
independent woman who dares to be
exquisitely sexy. After passing her business on
to her daughter Catherine, the legacy lives on.
Catherine continues to build on the belief that
women's bodies deserve to be touched by
nothing less than the highest quality lingerie. |
